There’s just something about Cancun, Mexico that brings me back again and again. I’m sure the gorgeous turquoise water that washes up on the powdery white sand beaches probably has a lot to do with it. Combining this fantastic beach setting with Cancun’s incredible all-inclusive resorts, you have everything you need for the perfect Mexican vacation.
All-inclusive resorts offer visitors the opportunity to have everything they need for a great vacation at their fingertips. With resorts offering multiple on-site restaurants, stunning beaches, great pools, and great accommodations, you’re sure to find the perfect resort for your vacation needs. I’ve been visiting Cancun for over 20 years and have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and I’m happy to provide you with this list of my favorite resorts (in no particular order).

1. Royalton Chic Cancun
If you’re looking for a fun yet chic property in Cancun, you need to check out the Royalton Chic. Located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the Royalton Chic puts you in the heart of the action in Cancun, although once inside you may never want to leave! The Royalton Chic Cancun is an adult-only, all-inclusive property that is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. The property offers incredible cuisine at six on-site restaurants, a fabulous rooftop pool, and a gorgeous private white-sand beach.
The resort takes its “Party Your Way” motto seriously, providing multiple opportunities for guests to have a good time. From a day of relaxation in their fabulous spa to a non-stop bubble party at the rooftop pool, you can really ‘party’ when you visit Royalton Chic!
Pro tip: If you plan on attending one of the rooftop bubble parties, book your cabana well in advance as they fill up quickly!

2. Hyatt Zilara Cancun
The Hyatt Zilara Cancun is located on the widest beach in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. This adults-only all-inclusive resort is the very definition of understated luxury. From handcrafted wooden furniture to Nespresso coffee makers and designer toiletries, Hyatt Zilara Cancun has thought of everything to ensure its guests have a fabulous stay.
The resort offers unlimited food and drink at six restaurants and five bars and lounges, ensuring guests have plenty to choose from. I love that their two main pools, one of which has a swim-up bar, both overlook the ocean, as do many of the on-site restaurants. In addition to many ways to unwind, Hyatt Zilara also offers an extensive entertainment program to keep guests entertained. You can participate in everything from water sports to live entertainment during your stay at the Hyatt.
Pro tip: If possible, book one of the Hyatt Zilara suites. Their suites are beautiful and offer stunning ocean views.

3. Haven at the Royalton Riviera
You’ll find the Royalton Riviera Cancun located just south of the Cancun Hotel Zone on Riviera Cancun, approximately 10 miles from the Cancun International Airport. Although Royalton Riviera Cancun is a family-friendly property, there is an adult-only section called Hideaway at Royalton Riviera. The Hideaway at Royalton Riviera offers guests the ultimate vacation experience.
The adults-only section of this resort provides a secluded getaway from families while still allowing you to enjoy all the resort-wide amenities. With daily adults-only pool parties, private adults-only dining establishments, a casino, and nightly entertainment, the Hideaway at Royalton Riviera feels like it says, a hideaway!
Pro tip: Upgrade to the resort’s Diamond level for additional perks like exclusive lounges, restaurants, bars, private beaches, and more.

4. Riu Palace Las Americas
When you first set eyes on the grand all-white façade of the Riu Palace Las Americas, you know you’re in for a great vacation. With a welcome cocktail in hand, you’ve made your way to one of 350 suites, each of which contains a private balcony or patio, stocked minibar, and handsome wood furnishings. Of course, I recommend the ocean view rooms which allow you to see the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Most of these ocean view rooms also offer views of the resort’s mosaic tile pools.
The adults-only all-inclusive plan lets you sip cocktails by the beach or pool without worrying about getting splashed by the little ones. When you get hungry, there are seven restaurants to choose from, including an Italian, Mexican, Japanese, fusion, steakhouse, café and ice cream parlor!
Pro tip: Try all the restaurants on site during your stay at Riu Palace Las Americas. Each offers a fun and unique dining experience.
5. Palace of the Sun Cancun
For a romantic getaway in Cancun, the Sun Palace Cancun always fits the bill. The Sun Palace Cancun underwent a massive renovation in the fall of 2020, transforming it into the chic and luxurious resort you see in front of you today. Catering to couples in need of a relaxing vacation, Sun Palace Cancun offers fabulous rooms, six on-site restaurants, and three infinity pools.
The majority of rooms at Sun Palace Cancun offer ocean views, hot tubs, and minibars that dispense premium liquor. As well as having fabulous rooms, the resort also offers great activities and entertainment. Guests can visit the spa and enjoy a relaxing hydrotherapy session or full-body massage after getting tired on the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at neighboring sister property, Moon Palace Cancun.
Pro tip: The Superior Honeymoon Suite offers guests their own butler (3 night stay required), an exclusive beach, and a private check-in and check-out area. If you want to be spoiled, book this room!
6. Le Blanc Spa Resort
The Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun’s Hotel Zone is another excellent adult-only all-inclusive resort for people who like to spoil themselves. The resort’s exceptional service is one of my favorite perks. Whether it’s unpacking, ordering a drink by the pool or chatting with your private butler, Le Blanc Spa offers it all!
The 260-room resort is truly modern luxury offering fabulous pools with two swim-up bars and a stunning beachfront location. When visiting the property’s six restaurants, you can choose from fine French cuisine, a Italian feast or a traditional Mexican dinner, to name a few. Also included are hydrotherapy sessions at the spa! These sessions are a great way to get familiar with the spa and relieve some of the stress you’re carrying around. I recommend that you reserve one at the start of your trip!
Le Blanc rooms strive to meet all guest expectations. The rooms are modern and bright and offer a view of the lagoon or the sea with hot tubs for two! Other in-room amenities that are sure to please discerning travelers are Bulgari bath products, branded liquor, and in-room aromatherapy menu. When you combine these amenities with the designer artwork and decor on offer at Le Blanc, you are sure to feel right at home during your stay.
