The Grahorn Mount in the San Bakar Trial
To be clear, the Graphorn is currently the only ground support in Hogwarts Legacy. It won’t be available until you complete the Trial of San Bakar, which is one of the final quests in the game. As such, you’ll only have to progress through the campaign until that it is available.
Once you start it, you will go to Cragcroft Shore, which is in the southern half of the world map. Use Incendio or Confringo on the vines to reveal a sculpture of Graphhorn. From there, you’re tasked with capturing a Gracorn. His lair is located on the coast of Clagmar, at the southeastern end of the map. You can use your broomstick or flying mount to reach the location faster.
The Hogwarts Legacy Graphhorn is unlike most other fantastical beasts you’ve seen before because it’s a boss encounter. It has very basic attacks: it will charge at you and simply ram you. But, he also has strong skin that is able to withstand a lot of damage. Other than your casting Ancient Magic and Ancient Magic, only your red spells (i.e. Expelliarmus, Incendio, Confringo, and Bombarda) will be able to deplete his health.

Can you capture and tame a Graphorn while exploring?
Yes, it is possible to capture and tame a Graphorn in Hogwarts Legacy even if you are free. However, you still need to complete the San Bakar trial.
Once you’ve done that, return to the Gracorn Den in the southeast corner of the map. You still have to fight the creature waiting for you here and the same mechanics apply (i.e. only red spells and ancient magic will deal damage).
After defeating the Gracorn, you can throw the Nab-sack to bring the animal back to your Vivarium. This way you can have multiple Gracorns in your sanctuary. Don’t forget to pet and feed them to be able to acquire the Gracorn Horn material.
